Project Description

Designed as a functional and minimalistic sanctuary for a multi-generational family, this home balances efficiency with warmth, catering to the diverse needs of its six occupants. The renovation prioritizes ample storage, adaptable spaces, and easy maintenance while incorporating the client’s affinity for bold rust orange—an inspiration drawn from a memorable stay at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. A muted grey and white palette sets the backdrop, accentuated by fluted paneling that seamlessly ties together design elements across furniture and lighting. The living area is designed for flexibility, featuring a set of four nesting tables that can be tucked away to create an open space for activities such as yoga, board games, or casual gatherings. Light wooden flooring, paired with a removable beige and gold asymmetric rug, ensures both functionality and aesthetic appeal, complementing the rust-toned accents. Thoughtful lighting integration throughout the home enhances usability, while an elegant deep green bar cabinet beneath an Impressionist painting introduces a refined contrast to the surrounding neutral hues.

The dining area serves as a multifunctional space, accommodating meals, entertainment, and learning, with plush seating providing added comfort for the grandparents. The kids' room, designed with a palette of greens, whites, and light oak wood, prioritizes storage efficiency and playfulness, featuring custom toy baskets, a magnetic board for artwork, and a study area that accommodates evolving needs. Storage solutions extend into the master suite, where a hydraulic bed mechanism and built-in wardrobes maximize space, while a soft interplay of greys, greens, and floral patterns creates a tranquil retreat. The adjoining L-shaped dressing area features floor-to-ceiling wardrobes with integrated lighting, ensuring seamless functionality. Throughout the home, cohesive design elements—from pleated upholstery to tinted glass cabinetry—reflect a meticulous approach to form and function, creating a living environment that is both practical and visually harmonious.
