Gupta's Residence
Project Description
The proposed house design responds to the challenges of rapid urbanization and increasing population density by embracing a long and narrow architectural style. In an environment where many seek a living space that balances urban convenience with a connection to nature, the design prioritizes comfort, tranquility, and a sense of rejuvenation. A key focus is its adaptation to the hot and humid tropical climate, ensuring optimal ventilation and abundant natural light. By integrating passive cooling strategies, the house remains comfortable throughout the year. Rear verandas extend the shaded exterior, reducing the impact of intense sunlight and mitigating heat buildup in interior spaces, particularly during the peak of summer.
Inside, the layout is intentionally open and interconnected, creating visual continuity and enhancing the perception of space. Strategic gaps and apertures on both facades, along with a vertical opening, allow for maximum daylight penetration and airflow circulation. Natural breezes enter from multiple angles, moving freely through different zones before dissipating through the roof and open doors. This approach not only fosters a refreshing indoor environment but also strengthens the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, offering a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal.
