Dhsac Residence
Project Description
Designed in response to the tropical climate, this home is composed of three main volumes. The front mass, a brick-clad box with a warm wooden ceiling, serves as the semi-public zone—housing the garage, service areas, and a study—while creating a compressed, transitional entry into the main living spaces.
A bridge over a linear pond leads to the heart of the home: an open-plan living, dining, and pantry area, where large glass doors dissolve boundaries between indoors and the green courtyard terrace. Hidden behind custom shelving, the master suite offers ultimate privacy, featuring a concealed bathroom that opens directly to a private plunge pool through floor-to-ceiling glass doors.
Floating stairs, framed by a reflective pond and crowned with a linear skylight, ascend to the top floor, where children's bedrooms and study areas are organized around a bright central void that encourages natural light and cross ventilation. Throughout the home, shadow partitions and an extended roof shield interiors from harsh western sunlight while maintaining airflow.
