Tarang's House
Project Description
Designed for a young couple and their son, the space was completely stripped down to its bare shell, allowing for a fresh, open layout that enhances both functionality and aesthetics. Strategic modifications, including repositioning walls, resulted in an expansive and harmonious environment. A well-planned passageway leads into the living room, the true heart of the home, where a large adjoining terrace extends the indoor space into nature. This seamless connection fosters a serene retreat within the city, ideal for quiet morning coffees or stargazing at night.
The open-plan living, dining, and kitchen areas flow effortlessly into one another, with furniture placement subtly defining each zone rather than rigid partitions. Veneer paneling cleverly conceals private areas, creating a seamless and refined backdrop. The open kitchen, partially hidden behind a breakfast counter, balances practicality with aesthetics by maintaining visual spaciousness while offering a cozy setting for casual meals. The private quarters, discreetly tucked away, each carry a unique character. The master bedroom, adorned with fluted paneling and soft beige tones, exudes tranquility, while its terrace access brings in ample natural light and a personal outdoor retreat. In contrast, the child’s bedroom is a vibrant sanctuary dominated by shades of blue, with a study corner and a cozy window seat designed to inspire creativity and relaxation. Each element in this home has been carefully curated to strike a balance between elegance, comfort, and functionality.
