Luminary Haven
Project Description
This residence masterfully combines cantilevered planes and projected volumes to create an open and seamless connection between the indoors and outdoors. Exposed brick and concrete define the house's character, with cleanly composed internal volumes and voids allowing natural light and fresh air to permeate every corner. Situated on a north-facing site, the two-story structure integrates courtyards and light wells, fostering a dynamic interplay of spaces that flow effortlessly into each other. The ground floor features a linear passage connecting the foyer to the kitchen, dining, and family living areas, with glimpses of an open-to-sky courtyard. Complementing the formal living area are maid’s quarters, a table tennis room, and an outdoor seating area framed by lush greenery and a tranquil artificial pond.
The upper floor houses a master bedroom, two additional bedrooms, a home theater, and a gym, all linked by a wide corridor. Designed for a relaxed lifestyle, the home incorporates verandas, terraces, and courtyards, ensuring every space is connected to nature. A thoughtfully designed entrance, framed by green landscaping, exposed concrete blocks, and textured stone, leads to a welcoming foyer. The foyer, adorned with a mild-colored backdrop, a striking feature wall, and bright mustard seating, sets the tone for the home’s vibrant yet calming aesthetic. With its chamfered corners offering garden views and its dynamic geometry casting light and shadow, the house is a harmonious retreat from the bustling pace of urban life, balancing privacy with openness.
