Project Description

Nestled on the outskirts of Bengaluru, “Geleyara Goodu” (Resting Nest for Friends) is an architectural response to a unique vision—four individual homes designed as a cohesive whole. Situated within a gated community, the project unfolds across five contiguous plots, with a central site featuring a well and a mature tree that anchor the entire development. To navigate the site’s contours, independent garages are positioned at the lower level, while a raised podium eliminates the need for boundary walls, ensuring privacy while fostering a seamless visual connection to the surroundings.

At the master plan level, the homes encircle a shared green space, reinforcing a sense of community. Public zones open inward with extensive glazing for transparency, while private areas on the outer periphery remain discreet with minimal openings. The residences follow a simple two-bay layout, where living and dining spaces overlook a private courtyard connected to the central green. The first-floor vestibule, doubling as a study with bay window seating, leads to spacious bedrooms with open-to-sky terraces. Interiors feature a restrained palette of Kota and Jaisalmer stone, exposed cement surfaces, and warm wooden accents. The exterior, defined by large UPVC wood-finish windows and overhanging roofs, blends structure with nature, crafting a serene retreat—a world within a world, a cozy nest in a distant tree.
