Eutierria Wellness
Project Description
At Oleander Farms, Karjat, the Wellness Centre was envisioned as a tranquil sanctuary that would allow visitors to deeply reconnect with nature. The two-acre site, dense with mature trees and an expansive green cover, inspired a design philosophy rooted in harmony with the landscape. Drawing from the concept of "Eutierria"—a state of becoming one with nature—the architecture blurs boundaries between built form and environment. Without felling a single tree, the design carefully weaves around the existing canopy, allowing trees to rise through roofs, define volumes, and frame open spaces. The built forms are modest, a collection of four independent wings organized around a central swimming pool, offering visitors a continuous dialogue with the natural surroundings.
The spatial organization balances functionality with sensory experience. A light, transparent entrance wing in glass and metal frames opens the journey, anchored by a sculptural rock installation floating over water, inviting a moment of quiet reflection. Adjacent wings house men’s and women’s changing areas with saunas and steam rooms, while the opposite wing hosts single and couple spa suites, each integrating private green courts and open-to-sky showers. Throughout, simple, mindful forms and materials celebrate the land’s original spirit, ensuring that architecture becomes a vessel for peace, wellness, and a seamless connection to nature. The Wellness Centre stands not as an imposition on the landscape, but as an organic extension of it—an immersive experience of Eutierria.
