Dancing Screens
Project Description
The House of Dancing Screens is a testament to fluidity, function, and movement, where pivotal screens redefine spatial boundaries with grace and precision. More than mere partitions, these screens respond to the wind, creating a rhythmic interplay of light, shadow, and privacy, allowing the home to adapt dynamically to its occupants’ needs. Designed with an open floor plan, the residence emphasizes interconnectivity, with each level catering to the distinct lifestyles of family members. A central family lounge on every floor serves as a communal hub, extending into private quarters, each with its own balcony, ensuring a balance between togetherness and solitude.
The ground floor seamlessly integrates formal and informal spaces, with a dining area and a sculptural staircase opening into a triple-height cut-out, bathing all three floors in natural light. This vertical circulation element unites the home’s core, reinforcing its sense of openness. Vibrant colors accentuate the interiors, defining distinct zones while maintaining cohesion. The top floor features a swimming pool, a terrace garden, and a striking arrangement of dancing screens, anchoring an expansive entertainment area. More than a residence, the House of Dancing Screens is a sanctuary of movement, light, and shared experiences—a home that evolves with its inhabitants, celebrating both grandeur and intimacy.
